This is Marlene Medina, CC TL IM for the Iberoamerican Leadership Congress 2011! I’m 20 years old and I’m a student in the Pontifical Catholic University in Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus. I am studying Radio and T.V. Production and Foreign Languages focusing, mostly, in Japanese.
Want to know more about me? Well, I am shy at first but I promise you I am outgoing, funny and loud, very, very loud. I am often described as a random person. Believe it or not, I have a hard time describing myself because of that. I like the most contradictory things in the world. I believe that everyone is beautiful in their own personal way, and that there is good in EVERY soul, even if just a tiny bit.
I began as an AIESECer in September 2010, as an ER team member at the OE Ponce. I became a member with the idea that I would gain a working experience and new opportunities would be available, I have to say I haven’t been disappointed. I soon became the Coordinator for Communications and began working very hard towards the goal to help my OE. In December, also start working with the Communication Crew of AIESEC Puerto Rico in a national campaign.
After attending my first conference, NatCo ’10, I became part of the Iberoamerican Leadership Congress Committee to fill the position I am currently working in. Being in this committee has helped me develop myself even further and become a more responsible individual.
As a CC TL IM I designed and launched the ILC webpage (ilc2011puertorico.org) which I am also currently administrating. I have worked in many designing works like t-shirts, logos, proposals, business cards, invitations and propaganda. As I write I am currently working on banners, booklets, promotional videos and much much more. If you wish to contribute with feedback, do not hesitate! I am open to suggestions and appreciate all forms of help!
This committee is working extremely hard to deliver an amazing experience in this ILC. I hope it exceeds expectations and becomes an unforgettable memory to all those attending it. I am very excited and I can’t wait to meet all of you, AIESECers, here in Puerto Rico.
See you all in March! :D
